It seems like January flew by. It was a whirlwind of getting back into our regular routine, baking and cooking galore and catching up with friends. We had our first real snowfall which Nolan enjoyed playing in but i wasn't too fond of it. We were lucky enough not to have lost power or really be stuck at home like some other people in the area.
For some reason i didn't take many photos again this month. Mostly of the two main events. Nolan and I got invited to a birthday party for one of our friend's kids. It was held at the brand new indoor playground in Abbotsford. The party was super fun and this playground is "outta this world" for a kid. Nolan wasn't too interested in the "baby" side so i followed him through all the tunnels, swinging things, up & down padded stairs and down the big kid slides. It was seriously a hoot and i can't wait to take him back there again soon.
I will be posting a bunch of new recipes that i tried. Mostly no photos though. For some reason i forget to take a picture before we devour the meal or dessert and then i realize afterward that the recipe would be much nicer with a photo. I am not claiming that my food photos are good looking at all but it at least helps to get an idea of what you are about to make. I guess i will just have to make all these things again ;)
