After our big bang September long weekend the festivities continued on. Not that i took any photos of them though, which makes this post kind of hard. A new blog thing for me, more words than photos. September seemed like every one's last chance to hang out. We partook in a summer finale BBQ, hockey kick-off BBQ, pizza party night and waffle night. I also visited my first Vintage Market, which i loved and found myself a beautiful necklace to remind me of my mom.
Grant & I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary at the end of September. I don't know how 10 years of marriage can fly by and feel like forever all at the same time but i guess that is life. Since Grant and I have been together for nearly 14 years, we hardly know life without each other, lol! We had an amazing dinner out at a local restaurant in Abby called Restaurant 62. We hadn't been in a while and i can definitely say that we were super impressed with our experience. It was a blessing to get out for an evening and enjoy each others company and reminisce. We will be taking a vacation in January to really celebrate the event but we had to do something on the actual day or it just wouldn't feel right.
As for Nolan? He is still a busy little guy. Into anything and everything he can get his hands on. He loves to go into our closet and play with belts (weird), and he prefers to scoot around holding something in his hand. I don't know if i have mentioned that before. He is almost never empty handed. Its either his rake, shovel or one of his eating spoons. There is a drawer in the kitchen that i keep all of his utensils, dishes and snacks in and he is constantly opening it and stealing something out. I have started telling him no now because i have no idea where he is hiding all his spoons and i am running out.
The weather has started to go downhill, so we aren't getting out for as many walks as we used to. And no more playing on the deck for Nolan. We are "winterizing" and moving our deck furniture to the lower level. The plan for this fall is to create a play area downstairs for Nolan. He has so many large toys that just take up so much room as i am sure most kids do. So it'll be nice when we can have a somewhat adult looking living room again.
New and exciting for October...will Nolan finally walk? Stay tuned...
