The next day being Remembrance Day, we were not able to see any dentist. So we kept Nolan on a soft diet for the day and made sure he kept his and our fingers out of his mouth. We kept giving him Advil for pain at naps and nighttime and the rest of the day he seemed to be ok. A little clumsier than usual or maybe it was just us being a little more worried than usual...
Saturday we finally got in for a consult with our dentist office where we were told that there really wasn't anything they could do. Since he is so young and it is only a baby tooth, the dentist really wasn't too concerned and told us to come back in two weeks for a follow up. Basically it is a wait and see what the tooth will do on its own. Apparently best case scenario is that the tooth will slowly shift back to a more normal position. Worst case is that the tooth will die and either fall out or need to be pulled. So obviously, we are hoping and praying for the best case scenario! If you happen to think about him or us during your day, we would appreciate any prayers for his tooth to stay healthy and to move on its own back to a more normal position. We thank you!
Now that a whole week has gone by, the swelling is gone, Nolan is happy and eating mostly regular food again (aside from hard crunchy things). His smile is a little goofier than before but he's still my handsome little man and his smile, goofy or not, makes my heart melt!

I am soo sorry to hear this. The first trip to emergency is the worst! (We just went for our first a couple weeks ago too.) Luckily kids bounce back so quick, it is hard to tell something even happened just a few short hours before. Will be praying for his tooth to move.
Aw, Nolan! This just makes me want to squish him so much more. What a trooper!
