It's My Birthday! "The Big 1"

Sunday was Nolan's birthday party.  We had a few friends and family over for an afternoon "shin-dig".  Nolan definitely delivered in the cake smashing department.  As soon as he figured out that the cake was squishy...he started patting...and then squishing...and then flinging.  Let's just say i had to bite my tongue not to call er' quits.  But it was so fun to watch him get right in there.  He had a blast and that is all that matters.  Thanks to our friend Pat, who like me, doesn't like to see things get too messy...he washed my floor! While other friends helped find flung pieces of cake/icing, Grant was on highchair clean up and i hauled Nolan off to the bath tub for a scrub down and wardrobe change.  Nolan was blessed with gifts, that he actually helped open. Once the party ended (just in time for the Canucks game) he finally had a short nap...he was so very tired.  Thank you to all who were there in person and in spirit to help us celebrate our little man!  We love you all!
