Grant has become a lot more spontaneous than me lately. I don't know about everyone else but i need a day to process a new idea...sometimes. So anyway, Grant had a few days off before starting a big project and he decided we should go road tripping. Destination...Airdrie, AB. I know, doesn't sound like the most exotic place to go but some of our lovely family lives there and we really wanted to go visit them. Since we had all this time on our hands, we thought a road trip would be in order. So after the call to big brother Terry and getting the thumbs up for our arrival...we packed up ourselves and Nolan in under an hour and we were on the road. The car was maxed out in carrying capacity, i think. We had everything along because in a car, you don't have a baggage allowance ;-)
Somehow, i don't have any photos of the drive there. We left around lunch time and arrived close to midnight...so you can see why maybe i don't have any photos. Grant was on a mission to get there, with little to no stops (other than feeding our child).
We basically arrived and crashed for the night. The extra long weekend was filled with love, laughter, relaxing, good food and we even had the privilege to hear Terry speak at church on Sunday. We couldn't have asked for a better time.

| Nolan loves being in his diaper. For some reason that's the only time he plays with his feet. |
| Sooo cute...minus the spit bubbles |
| Another one of his crazy faces |
| Preparing for bath time |
| Too cute! Peek! |
| We didn't have his tub with so we used the Bumbo chair. Not the best idea...but it works. |
| Grant, comfortable enough to take an afternoon nap |
| DJ it up! Just a tiny dance party. Somewhat awkward. |
| Thanks Uncle Terry & Auntie Melanie! |
| Stopping for another feed break. Now on our way to the anniversary part of our road trip. |
| We booked two nights at a resort in Osoyoos. It was really nice and relaxing. |
| Nolan enjoying pool time |
| Family pool photo |
| What a gorgeous place to be |
| Giggles |
| Visiting Burrowing Owl Winery |
| Our little family :-) |
| Grant, very excited for his purchase |
| And very excited for the building |
| Contemplating how to build one just like it |
| Next stop...Stoneboat Winery |
| The beautiful welcoming doors of Mission Hill Winery. Our favourite! |
| Nothing like ending off the trip feeling like you were in Europe |

Wow! What a fun adventure. Did you stay at Spirit Ridge? It looked like it... Great pics! Thanks for sharing!
We stayed at Walnut Beach actually.
First Off: How did you pack in an hour?!?! Since our little princess arrived I need at least a couple of hours but preferably a day. I would love tips on how to do it, please!
Secondly: I love love love the pic of Nolan peeking over the tub! That just melts my heart.
Thirdly: We miss you guys terribly. But glad to hear you had a great trip!
