Dreaming of December

December was super busy in my head but not so much with actual things.  Since Nolan and I were leaving mid-month, there was a long list of things to do before leaving for 4, yes 4 weeks!  We managed to take our Christmas photo just in time to order the cards so i could take them with.  We also took in the Abbotsford Christmas tree lighting for the first time (i think).  Since we are just a short walk from old downtown it was a perfect Sunday afternoon activity.  We drove around to look at Abbotsford home Christmas lights.  We always love a good drive.  I raked the yard one last time and looking at the photo makes me really miss December since as i am writing this we have a good few inches of snow on the ground.  I'd rather rake than shovel, lol
The third week of December brought us full throttle into Christmas.  Grant and I went on a Christmas date that consisted of dinner out and a late night movie.  When Grant surprised me with this outing, i was almost more excited that he had already lined up the babysitter, than actually going out, lol.  Oh, i love you honey!
We did our Christmas with Nolan shortly before taking off for Toba.  We kept it small, since he has so many toys already and we knew he would be getting more.  Our original plan was to get a play room ready for him downstairs but we are a little behind in that project.  Maybe for his second birthday?
Looking a little sleepy with puppy and sucky
Stylin' in his new leather jacket
Out for brunch and being goofy
Not too thrilled to have his hair done
The final selection for our Christmas photo
Waiting for the tree to light up
All bundled up
Cheese!
Finally!  Now can we go home where it is warm?
Nolan loves to read
A small glimpse of the lights around Abbotsford
Good Morning Sleepyhead!
Having a rock-n-read
Back when the yard was green (Dec 7)
Thanks Auntie Bobbi & Uncle Aldon for my early Christmas present!
I think i am going to pack this blanket...
Don't worry, it will fit...
Almost got it...
Oooooh, there is a zipper in here!
Running away before bath time
Relaxing with dad
First present...lets get this paper off!
Mr. Potato Head...doesn't every kid need one of these?
Figuring out all the parts
Aquadoodle!
Learning to draw
What is it?
Hooray for books!
Taking a break in the rocker
Playing with his stocking toys
Nolan's first haircut.  All ready for Christmas!
