Long time a comin'

It's been so long since my last post...over a month i believe. Nolan has grown so much since then and he's been discovering new things every week. He still loves to kick and punch but along with that comes talking, giggling, drooling and chewing on his hands. I have to keep a close eye on him now because he's lifting his legs up and rolling on to his side. Plus he shimmys himself all over his slippery play mat.
Our summer thus far has been very relaxing (for Nolan & I). Mostly we've just been hanging out around home. The weather has been so lovely we've definitely enjoyed some walks, BBQs with friends and lounging in the sunshine on the deck.
We also took Nolan on his first day trip and that was to visit Uncle Mike & Auntie Natalya. Nolan was a little trooper for the 2 hr car ride. I know 2 hrs doesn't seem like a long time, but when you have a baby, even 20 minutes can seem forever if they're unhappy.
Grant has been super busy at work. He is being pulled between a few house projects right now. Don't quote me but i think he's building his 4th or 5th house in Vancouver now. The concrete market has slowed down a bit so he's back to his old roots of house building for a little while until he can snag a bigger project. And when he's not working away from home then he's working on our house or yard or something. It seems like we're always doing some project around here. Next is getting the exterior of our house painted. I can hardly wait until our house is not blue anymore.
We have a trip back to MB planned for August 28-Sept 6th. It'll be just Nolan and I for the most part and then Grant will join us for the long weekend. I hope to see as many family and friends as possible. We will be planning a BBQ at my dad's on Saturday Sept 4th and at Grant's parents on Sunday Sept 5th. So if you are friends or family and would like to see us, feel free to come on down to either location.
One quite note of thanks to everyone who prayed for my healing and recovery after my most recent health issue. I did see the surgeon yesterday and he says my incision looks great and things are almost healed up. Hallelujah!
OK, now onto the reason why you people check this blog in the first place...pictures!

A walk in the park is Mike & Natalya

Our little family

Monkey pajamas for our little monkey
Another one of his faces...this was a talking face
For some reason this photo kept loading sideways, sorry
Enjoying the outdoors at a friend's place
Not looking to sure about his first slide ride
He's very straight faced in the tub...once in a while he'll crack a smile
It's all fun and giggles when he's warm and dry thoughLittle goofball in the morning...those feet always make it out of the swaddle
Trying desperately to get those hands out
