Nolan Asher Krahn

Our beautiful boy was born Sunday May 16th at 7:15am. He weighed in 7lbs, 10oz and was 21 inches long. He had a short 4 hour delivery in a birth pool at our home. It was an amazing experience that went so smoothly. We thank everyone for their prayers before, during and after his birth. I know for sure that is the reason it went so well. Praise God!
We've had a challenging week and that is the main reason why this is getting posted a week late. Without getting into any details, healing is well under way and both Nolan and I are doing great. At just over a week he is 8lbs 6oz.
Being a week old, Nolan has already met his future girlfriend, walked the block a few times, had some car rides and hung out with his grandparents. Of course there is all the eating, sleeping, peeing and pooping too :-)
He really is a joy to have in our lives. You really don't know the instant love you can have for a child until you hold him in your arms for the first time.
Sorry to the people that came to visit and i didn't take your picture. I think i only remembered for one.
Here are some photos from the week.

He is so adorable! Babies are so very precious and I agree that the love for a child is something you never could have imagined would be so strong.

We hope all is going well and that you are getting a bit of sleep in-between all the peeing, pooping, and spitting :))

Hey Rach! That's awesome you two are doing good! I've been meaning to ask but didn't want to disturb knowing you'd be very busy these days :) He's very beautiful, you are blessed!

He is such a cutie! I agree, it is unbelievable how you can love and bond with your child in that first moment. I am so glad you are healing well. I have been wanting to call and see how you are doing, but I will wait a bit until you feel like you have more than 2 min. to do anything. (I remember my first week and the thrill I got when i finally had time to just sweep the kitchen floor...it felt so NORMAL!) Take care, you are in our prayers daily.
Pam
P.S. - I know it is hard to find time to nap some days...but you will be so thankful in the next few weeks if you do. So Please, Please nap. You will heal so much faster.
